    My mom got this book and she really likes it. She says it has helped her not to be so negative. She got me the book. I haven’t read it yet. I was looking forward to reading it until I read this.

    My concern about Joel Osteen (and you’ve probably heard me mention this in a sermon) is that he does not center enough on the Cross and on Jesus.

    Stephanie - - Why not go ahead and read it and see what you think? And, I would be very careful how you share your concern with your mom. It’s a good thing to be positive, of course. And, she went out of her way to get you a gift.

    But, read discerningly! At the end of the day, do you agree with the critique or not? Do you think the book centers on Jesus and his Word?
